Youth Mural Project: Aspirations for Justice

Classroom Law Project is honored to be a partnering organization with the Multnomah County Courthouse in their Youth Mural Project. The purpose of this project is to engage the youth of Multnomah County, celebrate the opening of the new central courthouse, and create a visual representation of the aspirations for the court system, from the perspective of our young people. Those aspirations will be reflected in a collection of murals that will be displayed as part of the early-October opening of the new central courthouse at least through the end of 2020.
We are now seeking submissions from young artists to represent Classroom Law Project in this installation.

2020 SEPTEMBER 10–30

PORTLAND OREGON USA

TBA:20 is a request to take your time, to engage at your own pace, and to take care of yourself, each other, and your broader communities in all the ways we are called to do so now. Portland Institute for Contemporary Art has championed the practice of contemporary artists since 1995; and in this year, our 25th year, we need to talk, share, experience, process, and open our eyes to new possibilities–to the newly possible. TBA:20 is a platform for this much-needed exchange.
